Amsterdam tile chocolate
Inspired by the Delft pottery which was popular between 1600 and 1800, this personal project explores some of the lesser known tiles of Amsterdam which can be found in many doorways.
This project seeks to highlight these often ignored but beautiful pieces of architectural vernacular found on the streets of Amsterdam.
Chocolate is a luxurious, slow experience. You take your time with every bite so it was the perfect place to showcase these often intricate tile designs which need slow time to be appreciated.
The tiles from this project can be found on Admiraal de Ruijterweg.
